The Loop — by Mindful Collective

For people in tech who are between roles.

What is The Loop?

A monthly, in-person gathering for people in tech navigating layoffs, career transitions, or prolonged job searches.

  • It’s not a networking event.

  • It’s not a panel.

  • It’s not a place to pitch yourself.

It’s a structured space to stay in motion with other people who understand what it means to be in between.

Each session is designed to help you:

❋ Get clear on what you’re working toward
❋ Share progress (or friction) in a low-pressure environment
❋ Learn from others navigating similar challenges
❋ Leave with a sense of direction—not just conversation

Why The Loop Exists

Job searching—especially in today’s market—can feel isolating, repetitive, and unclear.

Most people don’t need more advice.
They need:

  • Consistency

  • Perspective

  • Momentum

The Loop creates that—once a month, in real life.

Who It’s For

  • Professionals in tech (product, design, engineering, research, ops, etc.)

  • People navigating layoffs, transitions, or extended job searches

  • Individuals who want structure, not just socializing

  • People who still see themselves as builders—even if they’re between roles

What to Expect

Each session follows a simple, intentional structure (60–90 minutes):

  • Arrival + context

  • Small group discussion with prompts

  • Reflection + next steps

No pressure to perform.
No expectation to “have it figured out.”
Just a space to stay engaged in your process.

Who It’s Not For

The Loop is designed for individuals navigating their own career transitions.

It is not for:

  • Recruiters sourcing candidates

  • Sales or lead generation

  • Self-promotion or pitching services

We maintain this boundary to keep the space focused, relevant, and psychologically safe.

Locations We’re currently building The Loop in: Austin San Francisco Seattle New York Los Angeles (New cities coming soon)

Get Involved

We’re looking for 2–3 facilitators in each city to host monthly sessions.

This is a volunteer role for people who:

  • Care about creating meaningful spaces for others

  • Are comfortable guiding small group conversations

  • Want to stay engaged in the tech community during transition

Facilitators receive complimentary membership to Mindful Collective, including:

  • Access to real-world project opportunities

  • Mentorship and peer support

  • Skill-building resources and community

  • “What stood out to me is that this isn’t just about immediate work — it’s about building a community that can evolve into something bigger over time. That really aligns with where I am right now. I’m looking for ways to stay engaged, contribute meaningfully, and be part of something that’s growing.”
